SUMMARY:Bay Area Frontier Research Club #12 | (dinner + paper discussion)
DESCRIPTION:w/ Tailscale\, Aikido Security\, Docker\, Inngest & Rootly AI \n\n\n\nThe Bay Area Frontier Research Club is a curated forum for rigorous discussion on how AI is reshaping the scientific research process. We convene experimental researchers\, computational scientists\, and research engineers across domains to examine concrete work—papers\, methods\, and workflows—covering literature synthesis\, hypothesis generation\, experimental design\, simulation\, analysis\, and reproducibility. \n\n\n\nFor each session\, we curate 2–3 papers selected for rigor and discussion value. Presentations are intentionally brief so the majority of time is reserved for questions and critique: assumptions\, evaluation methodology\, failure modes\, and what would constitute convincing evidence. Papers and supporting materials are shared in advance to ensure a high-baseline conversation. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n🕒 Agenda\n\n\n\n5:30pm: Doors open5:30pm – 6:30pm: Networking + snacks6:30pm – 8:00pm: Research presentations + discussion8:00pm – 8:30pm: Networking \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n🎙️ Presenters & topics\n\n\n\nTalk #1: TO BE ANNOUNCED \n\n\n\nTalk #2: TO BE ANNOUNCED \n\n\n\nTalk #3: TO BE ANNOUNCED \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n📝 Want to present your work?\n\n\n\nIf you have a research paper you’d like to discuss with a cross-disciplinary room\, submit it for consideration.\n\n\n\nSUBMIT YOUR PAPER HERE.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n👥 Who should attend\n\n\n\n\nExperimental researchers\n\n\n\nComputational scientists across domains (bio/chem/materials/climate/neuro/physics)\n\n\n\nResearch engineers + lab automation people\n\n\n\nThose building tools for literature review\, experiment planning\, robotics\, simulation\, or scientific data\n\n\n\n\nIf you’ve ever wished research moved faster\, you belong here. \n\n\n\nCapacity is limited. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe will take photos and short video clips for event recap and promotion. By attending\, you consent to being photographed and recorded\, and to the use of those images and clips by the organizers on social media and other event marketing channels. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n🎥 Last Session Recap — Stanford University\, May 27\n\n\n\nOur eighth session packed 200+ researchers\, founders\, and investors into Stanford for three frontier talks and Q&A: \n\n\n\n\nVignesh Baskaran (Hexo Labs) — open-sourcing SIA\, a self-improving agent framework\n\n\n\nSteven Dillmann (Stanford) — Terminal-Bench Science\, a benchmark for AI agents across the natural sciences\n\n\n\nRushil Thareja (MBZUAI / Google DeepMind) — MAC\, constitutional learning for multi-agent systems\n\n\n\n\nFind presentation recordings on our YouTube channel\, @FrontierResearchClub. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n🌐 Connect with Frontier Research Club\n\n\n\n• Luma Calendar:  luma.com/frontiersyndicate• Youtube: youtube.com/@FrontierResearchClub• LinkedIn: linkedin.com/company/frontier-research-club• Instagram: @frontierresearchclub• Email: kristopher@frontiersyndicate.vc \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n🤝 Hosted by\n\n\n\nFrontier Syndicateis a venture community connecting frontier tech researchers\, builders\, and investors through curated convenings and early-stage capital. Across the Bay Area\, we host a recurring series of research forums\, builder nights\, and intimate investor dinners — and back exceptional companies emerging from the labs\, communities\, and technical networks we convene.Hexo Labs is a neolab for recursive self-improving AI. Their open-source SIA framework is the first to update both the harness AND the model weights of a task-specific agent in the same self-improvement loop — clearing state-of-the-art results across multiple domain benchmarks. Hexo backs the broader research community through grants and direct collaboration on hard problems in science and engineering. \n\n\n\nMetais one of the world’s most active frontier AI organizations\, with research and engineering spanning foundation models\, generative AI\, agent systems\, and the open-source frameworks (Llama\, PyTorch) that power much of the broader research community.

SUMMARY:AI Demo Night
DESCRIPTION:Skip the slide decks. Just show us what you built.Call for speakers over! Speakers to be announced!Join ClickHouse\, MongoDB\, LangFuse\, and LibreChat\, for an evening of live AI demos from developers and founders actually shipping. No theory. No pitch competitions.Just “here’s what I built — watch it work.” Anyone is welcome\, you dont need to be using the sponsors tech! \n\n\n\n🗓️ Wednesday\, July 1st | 5:30 – 8:30 PM PT📍 Canopy Office\, Jackson Square\, San Francisco🎟️ Free | RSVP required \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n🗓️ AGENDA \n\n\n\n5:30 PM – Doors open\, food & drinks6:00 PM – Quick intro & kick off6:15 PM – Live demos begin7:30 PM – Networking till close \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWHO’S THIS FOR? \n\n\n\nDevelopers\, founders\, and builders who want to see what’s actually shipping in AI right now\, not what’s being hyped. Real stuff that actually work! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWHAT YOU’LL SEE \n\n\n\nLive demos from across the AI stack:— Tools that make you rethink what’s possible with LLMs— Real products solving real problems\, already in production— Infrastructure and developer tooling you’ll want to steal ideas from— At least one demo that makes you say “wait\, how did they do that?” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWHY SHOW UP \n\n\n\n8-10 live demos in one evening from the people who actually built them. That’s more signal than most conferences deliver in three days. \n\n\n\nLeave with a sharper sense of where AI tooling is headed\, new connections with founders and engineers doing interesting work\, and ideas you’ll still be thinking about on the way home. Oh\, and the food’s great and Canopy is a beautiful space. No stuffy conference energy here. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHosted by ClickHouse · LangFuse ~ LibreChat · MongoDB Space is limited.
