Daybreak Labs founder and serial entrepreneur\, George Farquar\, will discuss how he built a high-performing team at his last company\, Buzzkill Labs\, with a strategic hiring strategy that began with internships. \n\n\n\nAttendees will learn: \n\n\n\n\nTimeline for posting\, hiring\, and starting interns\n\n\n\nHow to create a Handshake account\n\n\n\nHow to structure an internship project so the company and intern both get value\n\n\n\nHow to retain effective interns and attract them as future FTEs\n\n\n\n\nAttendees are encouraged to bring their laptops so they can create their Handshake account with Kristi’s help during the workshop. \n\n\n\nABOUT KRISTI VANDERHOOF \n\n\n\nAs Career Center Coordinator at an award-winning community college\, Kristi finds it rewarding to match qualified students with an employer offering career-building opportunities.
